Automotive photography is a form of table-top photography, best executed either on location or in the studio.
My task was to simply place the car on the tabletop and light it with a huge scrim that created a wrap-around form of lighting.
On location, the sky became the scrim while in the studio a white-egg-shaped cyclorama became the scrim.
Controlled lighting that created an airbrushed appearance to the highly reflective car duco.
The larger the scrim and the smaller the light source, the greater the degree of airbrush.
On location the desired look was best achieved at dawn or dusk.
